Hello
Has anyone successfully got COM port redirection working using the net use command within XenApp 6?
We are piloting a XenApp 6 farm and COM port redirection works using the RDP client via selecting to redirect ports.
Connecting via ICA and the net use command returns the error:
System error 66 has occurred.
The network resource type is not correct.
Citrix Policies are set to allow COM port redirection. No other group policy settings are set.
Interestingly enough, if you use RDP and select port redirection via the client, the port is available. Then run net use com1: /d* and then *net use COm1: [tsclientcom1|file://tsclientcom1]: and it fails with the same error as ICA connection.
Therefore, the net use command fails under both RDP and ICA. Maybe the net use com1: syntax is not valid anymore under Windows Server 2008 R2?
Thanks.
